Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Leadstan data is for legitimate business-to-business outreach. This policy is part of our Terms of Service. Breaking it can get your account closed without a refund.
You must
- Email (CAN-SPAM): use accurate sender and subject lines, identify the message as an ad where required, include a valid physical postal address, and include a working unsubscribe link that you honor within 10 business days.
- Calls and texts (TCPA / Do-Not-Call): check the National Do Not Call Registry and state lists where they apply, keep your own internal do-not-call list, and don't use autodialers, prerecorded messages or texts to mobile numbers without the consent the law requires.
- Outside the US: follow local rules (e.g. CASL in Canada, GDPR/PECR in the EU and UK) before contacting anyone there.
- Stop contacting anyone who asks you to, and delete their details.
- Keep downloaded data secure and limit access to people who need it.
You must not
- send spam, phishing, malware or deceptive messages, or use purchased data to harass, threaten or stalk anyone;
- use the data to decide anyone's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing or other benefits (Leadstan is not a consumer reporting agency and the data is not a "consumer report" under the FCRA);
- use the data for consumer (non-business) marketing, political campaigning or debt collection;
- discriminate against anyone based on a protected characteristic;
- resell, publish, share or give away the data as a list or database, or use it to build a competing product;
- scrape, crawl, or use bots against the Leadstan website, or try to get around limits, credits or security;
- create multiple accounts to claim free trials or credits;
- use Leadstan for anything illegal.
Reporting misuse
If you received unwanted outreach you believe came from Leadstan data, tell us and we'll investigate. You can also remove your details at any time on our Do Not Sell / Remove My Data page.
