Data Sources & Accuracy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
Where the data comes from
- Public business listings such as map and local-business directories (business name, phone, address, website, category, ratings).
- Company and business websites, including publicly listed contact emails.
- Third-party business data compilations of companies and professional contacts (names, job titles, work emails, company size and industry).
- Live Search collects current public business listings at the moment you search, then looks for a contact email on each business's own website.
We deal in business contact information. We don't sell consumer data such as home addresses, personal phone numbers collected from individuals, financial or health data.
How we clean it
- Every list is de-duplicated by email and phone before delivery.
- Placeholder and junk values (e.g. "name@email.com", image file names, "N/A") are removed, and garbled characters are repaired.
- Records from outside the United States, test data and unusable lists are excluded from sale.
- Anyone on our suppression list (people who opted out) is removed from every list, preview and search.
Accuracy — what to expect
Business data decays: people change jobs, businesses move or close, and inboxes get retired. Depending on age and source, a share of emails in any list may bounce and some contacts may be out of date. Live Search results are current as of the moment you search. We recommend running an email verification service before large email campaigns, and we don't guarantee deliverability or any particular results (see our Terms and Refund Policy).
Not a consumer report
Leadstan is not a consumer reporting agency. Our data must not be used to make decisions about anyone's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing or similar purposes.
